About everybody has a voice. Some have a good voice. Und from those, very rare people know how to use it. And from those Hermann Zahn is one.

Hermann Zahn was my first teacher for physics. (Knowledge about physics in most cases doesn´t handicap.) That was about 34 years ago. What can I say: We´re still in contact. He invites me to put it bluntly by his invented technique of being focused very shortly. By principle. An enviable undisciplined thinker. Is learnable. Do you know his amazing filmography? At least the „Kummerkasten“ or „El-Lute the King“ should be mentioned here.

Filming
Hermann Zahn taught me how to use a camera (8mm, 16mm). The light, the distance, can both be measured out. And then the „Film-AG of the Waldschule“. How that sounds! Exciting title of an elite-group!
Many years later I could convince him to work with a video-cam and a mac. Now he´s producing as if there´s no tomorrow.

Discipline
About everybody has some discipline. Hermann Zahn doesn´t. No need to. Luckily, Barbara Zahn cares on him. Art has not only to do with inspiration, but also with eating regularly.
Why shouldn´t an animation have a narrator?
Is that some kind of dogma?
